O'Keeffe (ish) Flowers


3rd graders learned about Georgia O'keeffe: her flowers, landscapes, and skulls. We also talked about how some of her flowers look abstracted because they are so zoomed-in. We looked at artificial flowers and drew 4 thumbnail sketches.



We used tempera and mixed colors to create our flowers...

  2. O'Keefe is one of my all time favorite artists! I got to see her retrospective show in NYC after she passed away. Your students work is beautiful! Nice job! :)
