This weekend I went on a little day trip to Washington D.C.
There was a new show of Picasso's drawings that I wanted to see- it was really great, I recommend it!
One of my (new) favorites, a self portrait of Pablo- is hanging from the entrance of the museum.
A Calder is hanging out near the entrance, too.
A little Andy Goldsworthy...love his roof top installation of slate!
This is the tunnel & moving walk way that connects from the east to the west wing of the museum...probably pretty amazing for kids (and adults, too!)
I love me some Giacometti!!
I don't remember who the sculptor was...this was among a lot of Rodins- but I'm not sure!
Outdoor sculpture gardens rock- especially on a 50 degree February day!
If you've never been to the National Gallery- these triangular prism skylights are above the cafe inside the museum...and are pretty entertaining for impromptu photo shoots!
Having fun with the Washington Monument!
So many people were out and about in D.C...it was a gorgeous day!
I found these Mondrians under a bridge on the way home :]
Need another reason to visit the National Gallery of Art? It's free!

I have always loved visiting D.C. My sister lived there for a time. Great museums!
