My lesson examples/displays were stacking up in big manila portfolios by grade level and I kept tripping over them in my storage room. I wanted a simpler way that included all grades in one spot. I just cut up two pieces of poster board and made a mini file system for my examples in a big cardboard box. Simple, self-explanitory, but it felt so good to get organized!
I tried to keep each project's teacher examples, student examples, and display signs all together like these "Wild Things" from first grade.
I also pulled out some old lessons that I haven't used in the past two years- I figure they might make better sub plans! Guess it's time to start a new organizational system for sub plans!

I'm hoping to an organizational overhaul during PT conferences next week! My stack is overflowing with examples waiting to be laminated before filing. I love the laminator. I need to take your idea- getting the display pieces filed with the example!
ReplyDeletelove your organization idea! I totally have to do this. I have to admit I keep my exemplars all over the place!!
